Health care provider Ana Luisa Gualuarte Castro reported that more than 60,000 free measles vaccines have been applied in Baja California Sur, so far this year (2025). Some health centres in La Paz have run out of measles vaccines in the middle of a vaccination campaign, and not all health centres provide care on weekends.
La Paz, 29 June 2025 (ATB Digital).- The Ombudsman's Office reported this Saturday that it officially requested a report from the Ministry of Health and Sports on the health contingency plan it implements against the measles outbreak and its application to vulnerable populations.
The Ombudsman, Pedro Callisaya, asked the Government, through the Ministry of Health and Sports, for a report on the measles containment plan, a disease whose outbreak in three departments prompted the declaration of a national health emergency in Bolivia.
