In Senegal, the Olympic flame started its tour, 45 days away from the Youth Olympics. First stage, Dakar the capital, before a course in the 14 regions of the country.
Dakar, 15 Sep. (askanews) - The flame of the Youth Olympic Games crosses the streets of Dakar, Senegal, in view of the first edition of an Olympic event to be held on the African continent. Residents attend the relay, some expressing their pride for Senegal in hosting the Games. The Dakar Youth Olympic Games will take place from October 31 to November 13, 2026.
The start of the torch tour of the Youth Olympic Games (JOJ) across Senegal was given Monday, September 14, with a first stop in the capital. By the time the competition begins, on October 31, the latter will take a 3600 km long journey that will take it to all corners of the country.
