Olivia Miles Breaks Caitlin Clark’s WNBA Rookie Points Record by Scoring 770th Point
Miles reached 771 points in 40 games, topping Caitlin Clark’s 2024 rookie mark with a second-quarter free throw.
On Sunday, Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles broke Caitlin Clark's WNBA rookie scoring record of 769 points during a game against the Connecticut Sun, surpassing the mark with a free throw in the second quarter.
Selected second overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, the 5-foot-10 guard out of TCU has averaged 19.7 points per game this season, with Miles and Clark both achieving their respective scoring records through 40 games.
Hitting eight 3-pointers in a June 4 victory against the Golden State Valkyries, Miles previously set the WNBA single-game record, and she became the fastest player to reach 500 points and 150 assists last month.
The Lynx guard is considered the frontrunner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year honor after sweeping Rookie of the Month awards, as her impact remains significant to the team's league-leading record.
Continuing to lead all rookies in scoring, assists, and made field goals, Miles positions herself as a central figure for the Minnesota franchise as the 2026 season nears conclusion.
