Ivor Novello Awards: Olivia Dean and Lily Allen Among Nominations

The Ivors Academy announced 61 nominees for the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards on Tuesday, with 34 musicians receiving their first nomination, including Olivia Dean and Coldplay.
Peer-Judged by fellow songwriters and composers, the awards honor musical craft and originality; the ceremony takes place May 21, 2026, at London's Grosvenor House, continuing a tradition since 1956.
Best Album nominees include Lily Allen, Wolf Alice, and CMAT, while Coldplay and Olivia Dean compete for the PRS for Music Most Performed Work prize alongside Lola Young and Myles Smith.
Rising talent including Jacob Alon and Skye Newman are shortlisted for the Rising Star Award with Amazon Music, with Alon having won the Brits Critics Choice prize in January.
Organizers said they are intent on recognizing human creativity at a time when "questions around authorship and AI are reshaping the music landscape." Winners will be revealed May 21.
