On Jan. 21, Princewill Umanmielen announced via social media he had signed with LSU, following Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss to LSU.
Umanmielen entered the NCAA transfer portal on Jan. 15, pursuing LSU to boost his NFL Draft stock by joining Blake Baker’s aggressive pass-rush scheme after the Jan. 16 window closed.
Ranked among the portal’s top edge rushers, Umanmielen brings size and production, leading Ole Miss Rebels with nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2025.
Umanmielen’s arrival makes him the fourth former Ole Miss player to follow Kiffin to LSU and he projects as a day-one starter, bolstering LSU Tigers’ defense and five-star transfer additions.
