Florida Truck Driver Injured in Crash that Killed Trooper

  • Trooper Nicholas P. Cayton was pronounced dead at the scene, and Nelson De Jesus Herrera Vasquez, the semi driver Cayton was assisting, was flown to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
  • With the scene still under investigation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said more information will be released and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine ordered flags at half-staff across Mahoning County and state buildings.
