Officers raid local massage parlor in human trafficking investigation

Two Essa Township residents face numerous charges in connection to a drug-trafficking investigation in Angus. Officers with the Nottawasaga OPP community street crimes unit, along with similar units out of the Caledon and Dufferin detachments, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant on two residences on Mill Street. As a result of the investigation, police say officers seized approximately 34.3 grams of methamphetamine, 94 fentanyl pills, 1.7 grams of purple fentanyl, 1 gram of heroin, 4 oxycodone pills, and six syringes with an unknown liquid. Jason Guergis, 49, and Kaitlyn Ellis, 31, both of Essa township, have been charged with:
