Mayor Calls for Release of New Jersey Synagogue Custodian Detained by ICE - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, JUN 30 – Mayor Kristine Morieko condemned the detention during an asylum interview as a violation of due process and urged community support for Jorge Tomas Dagar Aquino, who has lived in the U.S. over 20 years.

The custodian of a synagogue in Glen Rock, New Jersey was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), sparking calls for his release from the mayor of the northern New Jersey suburb.
