Nvidia rolls out yet another Hotfix driver to tackle RTX 50-series issues

Nvidia released GeForce Hotfix driver 576.26 in late April 2025 to fix multiple bugs affecting RTX 5000-series graphics cards.
This update follows several recent hotfixes after the initial 576.02 mainline driver introduced RTX 5000 support but caused crashes and black screen issues.
The hotfix resolves crashes in titles such as Black Myth: Wukong during transformation sequences, Red Dead Redemption 2 running in DX12 mode, as well as issues causing freezes and crashes in other popular games on RTX 50 series GPUs. It also addresses flickering problems and black screen occurrences on certain LG monitors when using DisplayPort 2.1 with HDR enabled.
Nvidia acknowledges issues such as GPU temperature monitoring errors and low idle clock speeds, with driver 576.26 including all prior fixes but some users still report crashes and stuttering.
The recurring hotfix releases reflect Nvidia's ongoing efforts to resolve persistent RTX 5000-series problems, though the volume of patches has negatively impacted user confidence.
