‘As a very small child, I was always singing and dancing. My mom could tell you stories about how I would perform for unsuspecting people on holidays, at the beach. I’d gone to singing and dancing classes as a child, but as a teenager I went to a drama class run by a director here in Cork. We were very much a gang of misfits.
