Novartis will create over 700 jobs by 2030 and build more than 700,000 sq ft of production space for biologics, sterile packaging, and solid dosage medicines.

  • On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Novartis, the Switzerland-based pharmaceutical company, said it will invest $771 million to build a manufacturing hub creating 700 jobs in Durham and Wake counties.
  • Novartis plans to build two sites in Durham and Morrisville, North Carolina, with three new facilities and one expanded facility totaling more than 700,000 square feet.
