Following a series of pro-Israeli actions by the new Slovenian government and Prime Minister Janez Janša, Slovenian civil society organizations protested the unacceptability of such policies before the start of the Bled Strategic Forum. They presented Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the "guest of honor" of the forum. It was a puppet of the Israeli prime minister, with a Palestinian flag waving next to it.
