- Prosecutors say the case grew to 38 counts after earlier arrests, with the Oslo district court set to consider an additional indictment sent on Jan. 19.
- His legal team says he will deny the most serious allegations, but prosecutors said Marius Borg Høiby admitted one crime and will plead guilty to lesser charges involving about 7.7 lbs of narcotics with penalties up to 10 years.
- The Royal House said it will remain silent on the case and continue official work as normal, while Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway plans a private stay over the coming weeks due to pulmonary fibrosis.
- Marius Borg Høiby, 29, remains outside the line of succession and public role, having appeared at Princess Ingrid Alexandra's 18th birthday events but kept a low profile since his arrest.
