The Norwegian national ice hockey team secured a place in the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Switzerland with one round left before the end of the group stage.
The Czech team finished without a point for the first time at the World Championship in Switzerland. In the penultimate match of the group stage, they lost to Norway 1:4, and their chances of second place in the table and staying in Fribourg for the quarter-final match are slipping away.
