Norway has activated its first autonomous C-UAS counter-drone system at Ørland air base to protect F-35 jets from small UAV threats. The HAL10 launcher from ISS Aerospace forms part of a layered defense accelerated by 2025 sightings. Expansion to Evenes and other sites is underway, with plans for armed drones to counter UAVs drawing from Ukraine experience. The shift addresses a vulnerability traditional missiles cannot economically fill.
