North Taft Avenue to close Tuesday as part of U.S. 34 intersection project

Taft Avenue will be closed from Eisenhower Boulevard north to 18th Street starting Tuesday as the intersection improvement project enters Phase 3. Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday as they complete a water valve replacement and sanitary sewer line and add a right turn lane from the Safeway parking lot onto Eisenhower, add bike planes, install curbs and gutters and improve sidewalks, according to a release from the…
