North Arkansas College’s Tompkins returning to native Hope as UA community college chancellor | Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Ricky Tompkins, vice president for technical education and workforce development at North Arkansas College in Harrison and a Hope native, will return to his hometown to lead the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana.

UA Board Approves Tompkins as UAHT Chancellor

LITTLE ROCK (Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025) – The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas today unanimously approved UA System President Jay B. Silveria’s recommendation to name Ricky Tompkins, Ed.D., as the next chancellor at University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT).
