A horse has had to be euthanised on Ladies Day at Epsom Downs.

Norman’s Cay was taken back to the racecourse stables for further assessment following the Woodcote Stakes. He had sustained an injury in the closing stages of the race earlier today. The vet concluded that the best course of action for the horse’s welfare was to be humanely euthanised.
