Carlsberg Sweden launches 'Electric Beer' - The Metal Packager

The Germans are drinking more and more non-alcoholic beer - according to the Brauer-Bunde (DBB), the trend is still unbroken. Production volume has more than doubled from once 329 million litres to around 700 million litres in 2024, the DBB reported. In the trade, the alcohol-free already accounts for nine percent of all beers, according to Pils and Hellbieren it ranks third on the popularity scale.

The proportion of non-alcoholic beer in beer production has grown again in 2024. Meanwhile, nine percent of beers from German breweries do not contain alcohol.

Non-alcoholic beer is becoming increasingly popular in Germany: it is produced more than twice as much as 20 years ago.

Non-alcoholic beer is enjoying growing popularity in Germany, with more than double the amount produced across the country compared to 20 years ago, the German Brewers' Association said on Tuesday.
