The prospectus allowing Israel to sell its bonds, issued to raise funds from foreign investors, in European Union (EU) countries has expired. With Ireland and Luxembourg not renewing their authorizations, the sale of Israeli bonds in the EU has ended.
According to Amnesty International, the Central Bank of Ireland has confirmed that the sales have ended when the prospectus allowing the sale of Israeli bonds in Europe expired and was not renewed. Israel provided about $2.5 billion annually with these bonds.
