Nigeria's NNPC Revenue Drops in May Despite Higher Oil Output

NNPC said revenue fell to ₦4.335 trillion as operational constraints and weaker gas sales offset a 2.98% rise in crude and condensate output.

  • Crude and condensate production rose to 1.73 million barrels per day in May, as Nigeria produced 102% of its OPEC+ quota while working to overcome well production and pipeline issues.
  • Upstream pipeline availability stood at 98 per cent overall, with the OB3 Gas Pipeline Project achieving 97 per cent availability and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipeline recording 94 per cent.
  • Revenue declined to ₦4.335 trillion in May, down by ₦635 billion from April, while Premium Motor Spirit availability at NNPC Retail Limited stations remained at 57 per cent.
