Medical colleges ease faculty norms to expand seats, boost doctor availability
India’s medical education landscape is set for a major transformation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) introducing new faculty qualification norms. The updated regulations aim to address the acute shortage of teaching staff by allowing experienced government doctors to take up academic roles and enabling faster expansion of medical colleges across the country.
The Inep (National Institute of Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira) opens on this Tuesday (7) the entries for the Enamed (National Medical Training Assessment Review).
