N.J. town working to recoup millions stolen from school district by scammer

Officials in Spotswood have asked the state for help as they try to recover $3.3 million that a cyber criminal stole from the borough’s school district last year. In a letter to residents, Mayor O’Brien said the operation of schools will be “severely affected” if they aren’t reimbursed by the end of March.
