Nita Ambani announces 100-acre lifelong care home for orphans, seniors, disabled people

  • On Sunday, Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani performed the groundbreaking ceremony for Nita Mukesh Ambani Anant Ashray, a not-for-profit initiative in Karjat near Mumbai.
  • Spread across approximately 100 acres, the township will provide a lifelong home for over 5,000 residents while supporting a total community of approximately 15,000 people including caregivers and medical professionals.
  • The development will comprise eight residential villages featuring family-style homes, specialized healthcare, and vocational training, with an animal companionship farm developed with expertise from Vantara.
  • Ambani said parents who worry about their children's future "can find peace in knowing that their child will always have a home and a family of their own," addressing families with limited access to long-term care.
  • Around 1,000 people from the region are expected to access therapy, education, and employment opportunities as the project extends selected services to neighbouring villages and districts.
