Nintendo Announces New Direct Presentation for Thursday
JUL 31 – Nintendo's Partner Showcase will highlight upcoming third-party titles for Switch and Switch 2 in a 25-minute presentation excluding major first-party updates, Nintendo said.
- On Thursday, Nintendo announced a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase for July 31, 2025 at 2pm UK time and 3pm CET, the first since the Switch 2 launched.
- Some hoped for a Metroid Prime 4 release date, making the Nintendo Direct potentially disappointing, as fans have been requesting a showcase to preview the Switch 2 lineup later this year.
- Treating first-party titles as exceptions, the showcase will be roughly 25 minutes long and feature Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games from publishing partners.
- Alongside partner updates, leaks suggest Ubisoft has heavily hinted at a Switch 2 port of Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Microsoft titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection are expected.
- Longer term, the showcase may support the original Nintendo Switch, which has sold over 150 million units, to fill in questions about the Switch 2's first year.

What we did get in this Direct was more than a few games that made me sit up in my seat. 1. The Adventures of elliot: The M…
