- The collection's emulation includes suspend, remap, rewind features, and players can change the Virtual Boy's red image to yellow, green, or greyscale, requiring removal of the red filter.
- Year one brings 16 games, covering most of the original Virtual Boy library, but Nintendo's $100 Virtual Boy recreation plus the Expansion Pack tier raises access costs.
- Nintendo says more titles will roll out throughout 2026, including nine additional games, plus unreleased Zero Racers and D-Hopper, while Nester's Funky Bowling, SD Gundam Dimension War, and Waterworld remain missing likely due to licensing.
