Nigerian army kills over 50 Boko Haram militants as it fights off drone attacks
Nigerian troops killed 50 insurgents and used fighter jets to repel coordinated drone and gunfire attacks aimed at cutting off reinforcements, military said.
- On Thursday, Islamist insurgents launched simultaneous attacks using armed drones and heavy firepower across four Northeastern districts, striking three troop positions in Borno State and one in Yobe State between midnight and 0300 GMT, army spokesperson Sani Uba said.
