- State officials say the clearances were justified as the Lagos State government targeted illegal structures used by criminals during the Oworonshoki demolitions, compensating genuine residents, the media reported two days ago.
- The command made massive deployments across strategic locations, stationing officers at Maryland, Ojota, Gani Fawehinmi Park, Gbagada, Bariga, Lekki Toll Gate and Third Mainland Bridge.
- Jimoh assured law-abiding residents of adequate police protection and urged them to go about their daily activities without fear, warning that blocking the Third Mainland Bridge would endanger lives and cripple economic activities as thousands of people depend on it.
- The commissioner accused certain individuals of politicising the issue, and on October 27, 2025, SP Abimbola Adebisi said, `The Command wishes to assure the public that adequate security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order across the state.
