Nicushor Dan, an independent candidate to the Romanian Presidency, supported a press conference last night, which called for a peaceful approach to financial market developments. "Romania has a competitive private economy. There are no reasons for financial panic," Nicushor Dan said.

Romania is going through a period of political instability and economic uncertainty, but Romania and the business environment must not go into panic. The business environment must be co-ordinated and allowed by political decision-making factors to play an active role in defining local economic development guidelines, supported by Florin Pogonau, President of the People's Business Association in Romania (AOAR).
