'Fast & Furious 11' Set for Spring 2028 Release
Universal Pictures sets March 17, 2028 release for Fast Forever, the 11th film concluding the Fast & Furious saga after multiple delays and mixed financial results.
On Friday, Universal Pictures announced the 11th mainline entry is titled Fast Forever and will release March 17, 2028.
Originally slated for 2025, the sequel was repeatedly delayed to 2028 due to production issues and Universal pressing for budget cuts after Fast X's $340 million cost.
Vin Diesel posted on Instagram that Fast Forever will return to street racing, reunite Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner, and feature Los Angeles streets, while Louis Leterrier was previously announced to direct.
Diesel has framed the project as the finale to the franchise's core story, bringing the mainline count to 11 films, though the press release left casting and production team questions unresolved.
Given past returns of characters and tech advances, fans have just over two years until the March 17, 2028 release, but delays are still possible.
