Newark man killed in single-vehicle accident in Stone County
A Newark man was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 14 East at Marcella in Stone County, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police. Kenneth C. Cordell, 36, was driving a 2014 Buick eastbound around midnight when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, ran off the road and struck a stump, causing the vehicle to overturn, the report said.
