New report reveals growing trust gap in AI-powered shopping
The survey found 82% of consumers use AI, but 33% will not let it make purchases and 58% still verify recommendations.

- Privacy concerns drive hesitation, with 53% of global consumers worried that AI-enabled tools pose data risks, according to Qualtrics research; only 2 in 5 believe organizations use their information responsibly.
- Consumer adoption remains cautious; 58% still cross-check AI-generated product recommendations before purchasing, and 33% refuse to let AI make transactions on their behalf.
