New outbreak of Salmonella infections reported; other outbreaks ongoing

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating a new outbreak of Salmonella Newport infections of unknown origin. As of Feb. 20 there were 27 confirmed patients, but the FDA is not releasing the patients’ ages or where they live.
