New Orleans Saints Quarterback Tyler Shough Does Not Win Offensive Rookie of the Year
Tyler Shough led the Saints to a 5-4 record, setting rookie franchise records and winning the fan-voted Pepsi Offensive Rookie of the Year award for 2025.
On Thursday at the NFL Honors ceremony in San Francisco, New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough lost the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year to Tetairoa McMillan.
Earlier in the offseason, Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints quarterback, won the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year via an online fan vote among weekly nominees.
Across nine starts, Shough finished with 67.6% completion, 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns, and a 91.3 rating, with Week 17 featuring 81.5%, 333 yards, and a 142.7 rating.
For the Saints, fans and Who Dat nation embraced Tyler Shough off the field, creating songs and making him Grand Marshal of the Krewe of Pygmalion, boosting offseason momentum.
The split reflects voting differences: the AP awards are decided by a panel of 50 nationwide media members, while the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year is decided entirely by a fan vote, with finalists including Jaxson Dart, Tetairoa McMillan, and others.
