New Institute Is Austria's Largest Particle Physics Lab

By merging the Institute of High Energy Physics and the Stefan Meyer Institute, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) has created Austria's largest centre for experimental and theoretical particle physics. The institution, named after Austrian physicist Marietta Blau (1894-1970), will work at the ÖAW site in the former Vienna Post-Sparkasse. On Friday, the "Marietta Blue Institute" will be officially inaugurated.
