New Iberia TECHE project awarded cultural marker grant

NEW IBERIA, La (KLFY) -- The TECHE Project of New Iberia has been awarded a Legends & Lore Marker grant from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation. The deep red marker will be dedicated on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. on what is known as “International Talk Like a Pirate Day.” The marker is located on the Bridge Street side of the property right across from Bayou Teche and the dedication is open to the public.
