The request of convicted Ernst Louwes for new DNA research in the Deventer murder case has been rejected by the court in The Hague. He was convicted in 2000 for the murder of widow Wittenberg. Louwes wanted new research into nail dirt samples at the judge, but he did so at the wrong counter, the judge ruled.
