With the new labour model, 10,000 new collective labour contracts have been added to the 30,538 previously legitimized, raising to more than 40,000 the total number of collective contracts in force in the country approved by free, secret and direct vote of the workers. This increase, although not translated into a "boom" of new unions, does show a strengthening and expansion of the membership of existing trade union organizations.
With this measure, the Junta de Castilla y León seeks to modernize and adapt the working conditions of the dental sector to the current reality, promoting stability, equity and security for both workers and employers.
