The emotional plea, "It doesn't matter what it costs, help my animal!", is a familiar one for many veterinarians. However, after a treatment, the response is almost as frequent, "That's really expensive!" Veterinarians in Heerhugowaard want to dispel owners' mistrust and communicate all prices upfront. "If it does turn out to be more expensive, we'll compensate the difference," says Nathalie Leenheer of the new Florens Animal Hospital.
