Neil E. MacLeod Sr., who worked in quality control in the cranberry industry, died peacefully July 16. He was 78. Born Dec. 9, 1949, in Boston, to the late Angus Neil and E. Lorraine (Collins) MacLeod, he graduated from Norwell High School and spent his formative years in Norwell before moving to Plymouth, where he raised his family with his wife Bette.
