NEET-UG Candidates Can Submit Bank Details for Fee Refund Till May 27: NTA
Candidates must enter bank account details to claim refunds as NTA says the cancelled exam will be re-conducted without an extra fee.
On Friday, the National Testing Agency opened a dedicated portal for NEET-UG 2026 candidates to submit bank details for examination fee refunds, with submissions open until May 27 at 11:50 pm.
Following allegations of a coordinated paper leak, the agency cancelled the May 3 examination, affecting over 22 lakh candidates and triggering widespread protests across India.
Candidates must submit account holder name, account number, bank name, and IFSC code; the NTA advised against initiating bank chargeback requests for examination fees.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed the re-examination for June 21, 2026, with no additional fees or fresh registration required for candidates.
Officials indicated NEET-UG will transition to computer-based testing next year to prevent similar irregularities, while candidates facing technical issues can contact support at +91-11-40759000.
