- On July 5, 2025, Neeraj Chopra secured victory at the first-ever NC Classic held in Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava sports complex.
- Neeraj Chopra played a key role in organizing the event in partnership with JSW Sports and under the sanction of the Athletics Federation of India, aiming to showcase top-tier javelin competition within India.
- The competition featured 12 elite javelin throwers, including five Indians and seven internationals like Julius Yego and Thomas Rohler, in challenging weather conditions.
- Chopra claimed gold with a best throw of 86.18 metres, finishing ahead of Kenya's world champion Julius Yego and Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage .
