In Kenya, almost one in three residents estimated that they had been victims of police violence between 2022 and 2024. This is what a study published this week by the International Justice Mission (IJM) reveals. The city of Kisumu, on Lake Victoria, in the west of the country, records the most cases. It is closely followed by the capital, Nairobi, and Mombasa, the main city on the Kenyan coast.
