In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), more than one in five people will face acute food insecurity. This is reflected in a new report of the Integrated Framework for the Classification of Food Security (IPC). The food situation is worsening and the outlook is not good. According to the report, 26.6 million people, or 22 per cent of the population, are expected to find themselves in high acute food insecurity.
