On the second day of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches, 978 walkers failed to finish or finished late, the organizers reported. That's fewer than last year, when 1,466 participants dropped out on the second day. The second day of the event always sees the most dropouts. On Tuesday, there were 218. That was "exceptionally few," said march leader Henny Sackers.
Three people were disqualified Wednesday during the Nijmegen Four Days Marches, march leader Henny Sackers announced on the second day of the event. Two were disqualified for not adhering to the route, and one was disqualified for causing a nuisance to other participants.
