NC officer jumps into creek to help injured driver after crash, police say

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- A police officer jumped into a creek this week to help an injured passenger inside a car that crashed into the creek, according to an Asheboro Police Department news release. Asheboro emergency officials respond to crash (Asheboro Police Department) The car overturned in the creek at Salisbury Street and Elm Street. The driver was able to escape the vehicle. The cause of the crash is unknown.
