Hubert Weinzierl has significantly further developed the BUND nature conservation in Bavaria. "With many volunteers Hubert Weinzierl has made a strong, independent and democratic association out of state-based, unpolitical BUND nature conservation. Without his work, Bavaria's nature would be poorer and our livelihoods even more threatened," said Richard Mergner, BN country chairman, Weinzierl's work.
