The Russian newspaper Kommersant reported that negotiations between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates to sell S-400 air defense systems in order to acquire F-35s from the US have stalled. The analysis stated that despite the UAE option being blocked, Moscow would not prevent such a sale.
While Turkey's return to the F-35 program is stalled by the S-400 obstacle, Russian media reported that Ankara has also failed to make progress in its S-400 negotiations with the UAE to overcome this crisis.
