Albums from Miles Davis, Mary J. Blige, Elton John and Minecraft enter National Recording Registry
- The Library of Congress announced the induction of 25 recordings to the National Recording Registry on Wednesday.
- More than 2,600 public nominations were submitted for consideration for the 2025 registry.
- The 2025 selections span from 1913 to 2015 and include diverse genres and artists.
- Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden stated the selections have cultural, historical, or aesthetic importance: "they are worthy of preservation for all time."
- The selected recordings are now among the 675 titles preserved in the National Recording Registry within the Library of Congress.
