Newport closes Easton's beach ahead of Hurricane Erin weather

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Newport said it was closing Easton’s Beach starting Wednesday night due to weather coming from Hurricane Erin. Swimming will be off-limits and staff will be on the beach to prevent swimming.
